Monroe Elliott, a dear friend since 1960, who was a true gentleman, sometimes short on patience, but always long on love. He expected perfection out of everyone, but most of all he expected perfection out of himself. He could build or repair almost anything but his greatest achievement was marrying Terry and the two of them building wonderful family that knew love. A trait that I appreciated in Monroe was his candor. I will miss our discussios and his insight on worldly matters. Finally, the other woman in his life deserves some recognition; Mom Elliott turned out some mighty fine children, as did Monroe and Terry, which proves that the fruit never falls far from the tree.
