Judy (and all the immediate family): Loretta and my thoughts are with you as you grieve for your father. I am a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society at our local Catholic church (members work with the 'poorest of the poor' in our community....time for me to learn a little humility of wihich I am in very short supply!). Sunday a Mass was celebrated by our Bishop for all members at a wonderful church nearby. I was struck by a passage that I've never really focused on...it's at the end where the celebrant says "While we wait in joyful anticipation for the coming of our Lord....". Rather than focusing his death, it might be better to reflect on the fact that he is with our Lord at this very moment, free from all pain and enjoying the heck out of his new life for all eternity.
